The Alpine Tundra is a highly elevated biome with no trees and freezing tempatures. The alpine tundras merge with the artic tundras most of the time. Unlike arctic tundra the alpine tundra regions are spread out all over the place on earth.

As stated, these tundras can be found in every corner of the world. Such being places like the Rockies, Sierra, and Cascade Mountains in North America, the Andes in South America, the Himalayas in Asia, the Alps and Pyrenees in Europe, and the Rift Mountains of Africas

Few plants are found on the Alpine Tundras, the only ones being perennial grasses, sedges, forbs, cushion plants, mosses, and lichens. These are eaten by a small variety of animals.

Being as there are moutains all over the world, the Apex predator can vary from moutain chain to mountain chain. However to most common alex predators would be the snow leapord, moutain lion, harpy eagle, golden eagle, grizzly bears, and wolves

If producers start with 10000 the energy becomes less the further down the food chain it goes. The apex predator will get the least energy

A population of moutain lions (more of that species in an area)

A community of the moutain lion (every the living organisms and their interactions with each other)

An ecosystem describes all the living organisms with their physical surroundings in a given area

The mountain lion is a generalist because it can eat a wide variety of animals in the alpjnes and doesn't have trouble living other places

Arctic moss is a specialist because it can only be found in extremely cold places like the tundras

Caribou or Rangifer tarandus, feeds on arctic moss or Calliergon giganteum. This is an example of predation or herbivory.

There are around 20000-40000 mountain lions in the world, and they are normally clumbed together. They are a K-strategist and have a type 1 surviorship. They have limited food, water and shelter on the mountains.

Cheat grass or Bromus tectorum was introduced from Europe. The plant can alter the natural balance of fires in the ecosystem. (Rocky mountains)

The keystone species of the alpine tundra is the alpaca or Vicugna pacos. It is prey to many of the canivores such as pumas, wolves and many more, keeping the carnivores of the alpine tundra fed.
