CLOUDS IN THE SKY

CUMULUS CLOUDS:

  • They are fluffy and look like floating cotton.
  • Cumulus clouds form below 6,000 feet.
  • The top of the cloud has rounded towers.

STRATUS CLOUDS:

  • Stratus clouds are gray.
  • Often covers the whole sky.
  • Stratus clouds resemables fog that does not reach ground.

CIRRUS CLOUDS:

  • Cirrus clouds are thin,wispy clouds.
  • Means fair pleasant weather.
  • Usually move across the sky west to east.

FOG:

  • A cloud that forms near the ground.
  • Fog comes during clear nights.
  • Fog is a stratus cloud by the ground.

Cumulonimbus clouds:

  • Nimbus clouds usually mean that violent storms are coming.
  • May form alone or in groups.
  • Nimbus clouds are 39,000 feet up high.
