The Amber Road was an ancient trade route for the transfer of amber.

The amber road dates back to at least the sixteen century BC.

The Amber Road connected the Baltic Sea with the Adriatic Sea that ran through Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Russia.

The Amber Road gave rise to the thriving Nordic Bronze Age culture, bringing influences from the Mediterranean Sea to the northernmost countries of Europe.
