AMELIA EARHART

A NEVER FORGOTTEN HERO

April 27th, 1926: Mr. H. H. Railey called Amelia and asked her, "How would you like to be the first woman to fly across the Atlantic?"

Amelia was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, changing history forever.

I find Amelia heroic because she took a challenge that no other woman would do. She ended up making it easier for women to do things only men had completed.

Amelia enrolled at Columbia University, in a course in medical studies among other programs. I think that's an important piece of heroism because medical workers often save people's lives which is a main idea if heroism.
