AMENDMENT 28

SHYANNE & SARAH

We propose amendment 28 to add wording to the first amendment in order to specify to whom the amendment is directed.
The amendment shall be as follows:

"Congress shall make no law prohibiting any one person the free exercise of religion; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances"

Section i : a person is to be defined as one single living entity

With the current first amendment corporations have the ability to call upon it when limiting their political influence (i.e. Flooding campaigns with millions of dollars) comes under fire.

By further defining the first amendment, corporations have no way to argue that the government cannot limit the amount of money they are allowed to donate, which will further decrease election costs with the hope that the common man may be able to run for office with equal chance of winning.
