OURS AND THIERS

UNITED STATES
Language- English
Food- Hamburgers, fries, hot dogs, etc.
Religions- Started as Christian, but now ALL!
Holidays- Independence Day
Government- Republic of the United States, President Barak Obama, Constitution est. 1787. -Economy- in comparison to the world, 1st. (GDP)
Traditions- USA, (The great Melting Pot) has many cultures that contribute to ours. Like saying, "Chao!" Which comes from Italy, meaning good-bye.
Clothing- t-shirts, jeans

KENYA
Language- English and Kiswahli
Foods- Ugali (a paste of cornmeal and hot water. Served with veggies.)
Religions- Christian is first, then Muslims
Holidays- Eid al-fitr. Muslims pray and recive new clothing on this holiday.
Government- Republic of Kenya. Established 1963
Economy- In comparison to the world, it's 82nd place.(GDP)
Traditions- Playing African and European music, making sculpted wood art and woven baskets. As for the clothing, look at the picture! They wear lightweight, brightly
colored clothes, especially on festivals.

WHY ARE BOTH CULTURES IMPORTANT?
It's not so you can say, "Ha, Ha, my culture's better!", It's so that we can compare and admire each other's culture. Each culture STANDS OUT, but each culture is also mixed with another. Who knows? Maybe we have some disguised Kenyan traditions in our atmosphere!
