  • He was Jefferson's private secretary.
  • Lewis was 25 years old.
  • He fought in the Whiskey Rebellion for the military.
  • He stayed in the military since the rebellion.

  • He was the co-leader of the expedition.
  • Clark was 32 years old.
  • He was an amateur scientist.
  • On the expedition Lewis and Clark met Sacagawea who assisted them.
