August Iléa is a northern rebel. Rebels tend to destroy property or injure people so they are not allowed into the palace because of King Clarkson's orders.
Without King Clarkson on a trip to New Asia, August and Georgia Illéa decide to come and talk to Prince Maxon and America Singer of a peace treaty. They reveal that the Northern Rebels don't want to destroy the royal family. But, they want to get rid of the castes and they will try their hardest to stop the southern rebels from attacking.
This memory is worth holding onto because as a result of that meeting, the royal family worked with August Illéa to abolish the castes. It worked out very successfully and Illéa has no castes so people can get any jobs they want without restrictions.
One day, America seesCeleste crying in front of the library. Celeste then reveals that she needed to marry Maxon because she needed the fame. Since, she is a model, she is afraid that once she gets old, none wants to see her and will forget about her. Her goal was to marry Maxon and not worry about fame.
After the Christmas party, Maxon was showing America his room, then a guard came looking for America and revealed the news that he has died because of a serious heart attack. She immediately fainted and was very sorrowful.
This memory is worth holding into because she became stronger and started fighting for what she wants.
During the party where Maxon is supposed to announce his love, a rebel guard comes up behind Celeste and shoots her. The entire palace turns to commotion. America is okay because Officer Leger took her to a safe room. Maxon turns out okay at the end
Later, she discovers that King Clarkson and Queen Amberly are dead and Maxon is now the king.
This memory is worth holding onto because it made Maxon king and he made many changes to the palace and made life much better for the citizens of Illéa.
When America went to see Maxon after the last rebel attack, he reveals to her that he wants to get rid of the castes.
This memory is worth holding onto because Maxon finally tells her that he loves her and that he came up with this idea because of America. This eventually leads to their marriage and brings peace to Illéa.
A few months after the last rebel attack, Maxon and America get married in the palace. On the same day, she and Maxon are crowned King and Queen of Illéa.
This memory is worth holding onto because she then starts a new life in the palace and has the duty of running Illéa.
