What makes up an American Archetype?

A person who stands up for what they believe in and fights for what's right.

THOMAS JEFFERSON

Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the United States (1801-1809) He was an American Founding Father, The principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776)

Thomas Jefferson displayed bravery by writing the Declaration of Independence and breaking the colonies away from the British because of taxation without representation. He paved the way for America and fought for what was right for the people.

happiness." -Thomas Jefferson

ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

Eleanor Roosevelt was the longest serving First Lady of the United States, she was one of the founders of the Freedom House. She also helped draft the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

She believed that all people should be treated fairly whether you are male, female, black, or white. During a time where women were expected to not stand up and discuss anything let alone politics.

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement, He led non-violent protests and boycotts, The Montgomery Bus Boycott and The Memphis Sanitation Worker Strike.

During a great time of oppression against African-Americans, Martin Luther King Jr. brought people together to fight against the racist oppression and against segregation.
