PROCLAMATION OF 1763

• British passed a law the said colonist could not pass the Appalachian Mountains

SUGAR ACT

• Passed tax on sugar
• Colonist hoped the lower tax would stop from smuggling sugar

STAMP ACT

• To raise money the colonist put tax on almost any printed item
• Printed items had to have a stamp which british officials applied

BOSTON MASSACRE

• On march 5, 1770 a fight broke out between the redcoats and the colonist when tensions grew

TEA ACT

• Gave the East India Company to ship tea to the colonies

BOSTON TEA PARTY

• Was a political protest by the Sons Of Liberty
• Demonstrators disguised as indians destroyed an entire shipment of tea

• Was a series of acts passed in 1767, relating to the British Colonies
