IN SCHOOL...

• He was very shy and lacked confidence
• To change that, he tried out for football

AFTER MAKING THE TEAM...

• He realized he loved football
• From high school to college, he played for the Crimson Tide (Alabama)
• His coach saw great potential in Bart, because of the way he acted
• Then from college, he became a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers
• "Bart decided to attend the University of Alabama..." (Dunnavant, 21)

ON THE FIELD...

• No one wanted to win more than Bart
• When he made mistakes, he tried his best to do better
• He hated letting his team and coach down
• In a game, he took control
• "When you tried to give him a little instruction, he always looked you in the eye" (Dunnavant, 21)

CHARACTER

• This was something not a lot of football players had
• But Bart had it.
• And everyone loved him for it
• "...level of thinking that was beyond most quarterbacks..." (Dunnavant, 21)

RESPECT

• Growing up in a military household, Bart learned that this was important
• No matter who it was, he gave everyone respect
• Even when his coach yelled at him, he always kept his cool

• "He called me sir. I wasn't much older than him, but he called me sir" (Dunnavant, 20)

THE FANS

• Bart loved and cared for his fans
• He claimed he wouldn't be where he is without them
• Anytime he met a fan he always gave them an autograph and talked with them
• Even when it was a big group of fans, he still managed to talk to everyone
