• Shadow  children are the third children
• in the family . The kids you have to hide
• from the government .  That is why they
• call them shadow kids. They live all their life
• as shadow children.

• Luke is a kid that  has lived his life
• as a shadow. He cant go to school, he can't go
• outside, he can't be in a room with blinds, he has 
• to go to the attic/ his room. He can't eat in the  
• kitchen, Mother takes his food to the attic .

• Jen becomes friends with Luke. She is 
• also a shadow kid. They become friends
• when Luke sneaks out of the house and goes to hers.
• Jen has two brothers. She is a third child but an only 
• girl.  She dresses like a guy and has short hair. 

escape fails.....

• Jen plans to escape with Luke at night and  
• drive to the white house with him, but 
•  he is too scared to do it. He tries to stop her 
• but she goes with a bunch of other kids with 
• her friends . They shoot them. They all die.

why?......

• The guards shoot all the kids because they
• are all third children. They were connected through
• the internet planning to escape and make the government 
• think it was okay for there to be a third. Luke didn't go so he
• was still alive . Jen's dad sends him to another school to get a fake id.
