How To Select Clusters?

It takes a shift in perception

Deep Dive Into The Problems

  • Begin with symptoms or outcome to start grouping
  • Dissect the cluster and isolate the main problems
  • Clusters of 20 issues or more will only have one or two main problems
  • If you can't isolate the problems at first, find the themes within the clusters and the problems will stick together

The Clusters

It All Starts With A Cluster and Gets Fixed By A Cluster

The Problem:
Andy thinks he's in control even when everything is out of control. He's afraid to let go of what he has, for something better because he is afraid of losing it all

Andy has poor beliefs about getting help. His problem isn't about affording new staff or losing control, it's beliefs. Time is his problem, not money or control. He needs to assess his time so he can see what he can delegate or outsource. Spending a little where it counts gives him time to be more efficient & productive

The Problem:
Stella has a business but doesn't own it. She needs to sit in her power and take charge because she isn't going to be saved

Stella has poor beliefs about money and authority. She wants everyone to be her friend but feels resentful about not taking charge and being taken advantage of. She needs to realize that she can be bigger than a friend to those around her and still be rich & successful too.

Miss Deadlines = Customer's Upset

  • Reaction: They lose trust, while you get scared of losing their business
  • Next: You focus on fear which breeds poor decisions which lead you to circumstances which setup the outcome you were afraid of
  • Why is this happening: You feel your business is not good enough to be great
