  • They all range from an elevation of 6,00 to 20,000 feet

  • Around 20 different glaciers around Anchorage
  • You are able to kayak and hike around the bergs

Physical Features: Vegitation

  • There isn't a whole lot of vegitatation located in Anchorage, mainly because of the moutains
  • There are a lot of berry shrubs/bushes, and a lot of trees and forests

  • While the area has four seasons, their length and characteristics differ from those of the middle latitudes; snows arrive in October and leave mid - April, while average snowfall is 70 inches.
