  • Aksum was a strong kingdom and captured Kush
  • Ezana was a strong king that rose to power in Aksum in A.D 325
  • Aksum had a very important trading port in adulis, it was the main
  • Ezana spread Christianity throughout Aksum

LIFEWAYS OF AFRICA

  • They practiced farming and slash and burn
  • South of the Sahara there were herds of animals, so people started collecting them
  • They believed in more than 1 god, but there was 1 god that is greater than all gods
  • They believed every one posses a soul called animism
  • Some places they had storytellers known as griots.

  • The Bantu migration opened farming and iron to parts of Africa
  • They brought herding to some places
