The Chinese symbol is the yin-yang. Yin means the negative and all of the darkness. Yang mean the positive and light and and if you put those together it means that there is darkness and lightness in a day

GOVERMENT
China was the first modern state it had a centralized Government it lasted from 150bce-1911ce. The Chinese communist parts has ruled china since 1949. Since 1999, the Secretary of the state had made china a "country of of Particular Concern" under the religious freedom for severe violations of religious freedom. That means that a nation guilty of severe violations of religious freedom.

WRITTEN LANGUAGE
China had a written language their written language was that each symbol meant a meaning or a word they are called logograms. There written language is not based on an alphabet its based on something called Glyph that is an element of writing.

MOST IMPORTANT FACT
Trade routes were opened that allowed Chinese people to trade with other ancient cultures. The silk road was a network of smaller trade routes and it stretched more then 4,000 miles across asia. Zhang Quoin a Chinese explorers mostly called the father of the silk road his traveled opened trade between china and its wester neighbors. At first the Chinese only knew how to make silk. When other country's learned about silk it became a highly priced material. You could not just carry something heavy you had to make it easy to carry so it can be light

CONNECTION
The silk road is similar to what I already know because trade for goods and services is still important today. Many businesses trade for different things such as items and skills a person might have.
