  • 10,000 B.C.E. — Men and Women used scented oils and ointments to medicate their skin if they get sunburnt , and decrease their body odor
  • 4,000 B.C.E.— women applied "foundation" to their faces for colour/definition
  • 3,000 B.C.E.— lower classes ,we're forbidden to wear bright colours, or even makeup at all!
  • 1,500 B.C.E.— makeup was used by everyone except lower classes and slaves. Priests would also integrate sacred oils into their religious ceremonies

HOW IT WAS MADE

  • Blush was made from red orche and it was clay that was pulled and washed thoroughly
  • Green eyeliner was made from green malachite—in green copper ore
  • They have become much healthier ingredients over the years
