Socrates were not a fan of sophist,he thought that there were a real right and wrong (1)
He refused to be resued.He did choose to drink poison.His ideas and teaching were considered corrupting
and he was sentenced to death by the Athenian government (2)
Socrates did not leave behind any written work,we have learned of his philosophies through writings

Because of the Socratic method,way of teaching developed by Socrates
That used a question-and-answer format to force student to use their reason
To see things for themselves (1)
He is known as the father of political philosophy ethics and western philosophy (2)

Socrates was a critic of democracy politics because of the Socratic method
that has influenced the widely use scientific method used by scientists today (1)
Plato was a devoted follower of Socrates and one of his best students.He went on
after Socrates death to write many dialogues of Socrates teaching and philosophies (2)
Socrates,Plato,and Aristotle have greatly influenced the modern western philosophy
