LEGAL SYSTEMS

  • King Cyrus was the Persian King
  • After Cyrus' death, his son Cambyses took over
  • Cambyses neglected to follow his fathers wise example of ruling
  • Darius was Cambyses successor & restored peace & stability

GOVERNMENT

  • Cyrus was kind and tolerant to his people
  • Military genious, had many victories
  • His method of governing, reveled a wise and tolerant view of empire

ART FORMS

  • Sculpted figures were common
  • Figures bringing gifts to Darius (the king after Cambyses)

CONTRUBUTIONS TO THE WORLD

  • Intoroduced the 4 horse chariot
  • Built a road that connected Susa in Persia to Sardis in Anatolia
  • The Zoroastrian religion had concepts of satan, angels ane one god.
  • These concepts can be found in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam
