  • One morning Heinrich Schliemann searched for the archeological proof of the existence of Troy, Tiryns, and Mycenae.In fact, he was so hungry that he went into business to make his fortune to afford the search.And after a lot of thinking, studying,and investigating on his own he found the original site of Troy at Hisarlik.

WHO DISCOVERED TROY

  • Heinrich Schliemann discovered Ancient Troy. Schliemann was a German businessman and a pioneer in the field of archeology he wrote about history and worked.

THE DISCOVERY OF TROY IS SIGNIFICANT

  • Troy, with its 4,000 years of history, is one of the most famous beautiful sites in the world. First the site were undertaken by the famous archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann in 1870. In scientific terms, its extensive remains are the most significant demonstration of the first contact between the civilizations of Anatolia and the Mediterranean world. Moreover, the siege of Troy by Spartan and Achaean warriors from Greece in the 13th or 12th century B.C., immortalized by Homer in the Iliad, has inspired great creative artists throughout the world ever since.
