PRESENTATION OUTLINE

ANDREW JACKSON

  • Andrew Jackson was one of our youngest presidents
  • He fought in the revolutionary war
  • He was the champion of our democracy
  • He extremely hated blacks from his racism
  • He fought with bravery when he was at war.

WAR HERO

  • He took time to participate in our military war.
  • As U.S. Colonel he won national fame for his victory over native Americans in the creek war
  • He was also promoted to general and won a major victory over the British in the battle of New Orleans during the war of 1812
  • While serving in the military, he became known as 'OLD HICKORY' because he seemed to be unbreakable in battle.
  • In 1818 his forces won the first Seminole war, which led the U.S. ' acquisition of Florida.

JUDGEMENT

  • I don't wouldn't vote for Andrew Jackson because he was racist and to be a real American president, you must except all skin colors no matter what due to equality.
  • He probably wasn't our best champion of democracy, but I would say he did good protecting our country.
  • He wasn't exactly the greatest president ever because there was also Washington, Jefferson, and many others that accomplished many of these goals.
  • I don't think that his pros outweighed his cons because they all did their share of work and nobody but Andrew went around dominating, so I would say they were the same.
  • I would say that he was a good president, but he was still too young and needed to make some improvements, but did good to be young.
