ABOUT ME
I was born into a free, wealthy, slave owning family, in Charleston, South Carolina, on February 20, 1805.
Later I began to realize how unfair slavery was and became an abolitionist.
So I moved to Philadelphia in the 1820's to get away from living in a slave-dependent home.
I was a Christian but converted to Quakerism when I moved to Philadelphia.
I believe slavery is against the Bible and God.

WHAT I BELIEVE ABOUT SLAVERY AND WOMENS RIGHTS
Slavery is against God and the Bible
All men and women should be treated equal
Black and white people should be treated equal
We are all children of God therefore we are all the same
It says in the Bible that men and women were created equal
