ANIMAL ADAPTATIONS

THE POLAR BEAR HAS VERY THICK FUR. THIS HELPS IT TO STAY WARM IN THE COLD CLIMATE WHERE IT LIVES (E.G. CANADA, ALASKA, GREENLAND, RUSSIA, NORWAY...)

A GIRAFFE HAS A LONG NECK. AS IT IS A HERBIVORE (WHICH MEANS THAT IT EATS ONLY PLANTS) THIS HELPS IT TO REACH THE LEAVES ON THE TALLEST TREES!

THE LION IS A CARNIVORE MEANING THAT IT ONLY EATS MEAT. IT HAS SHARP CLAWS AND LARGE CANINE TEETH TO KILL ITS PREY!

THE ELEPHANTS TRUNK IS LIKE A FIFTH LIMB AND HELPS IT TO PERFORM MANY TASKS; THE MOST VITAL BEING TO GATHER FOOD AND DRINK.

AN OWL HAS EXCELLENT HEARING WHICH HELPS IT TO SENSE PREY RUSTLING IN THE LEAVES ON THE GROUND. AN OWL ALSO HAS LARGE EYES, ENABLING IT TO PICK UP LOTS OF LIGHT RAYS. THIS HELPS IT TO SEE IN THE DARK ( IT'S NOCTURNAL).
