• They normally have 10 –15 piglets per litter
• They typically weigh 600–800 pounds
• It is on the threatened list of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy

SHEEP

• The name "Herdwick" is derived from the Old Norse herdvyck, meaning sheep
• They almost went extinct in 2001 due to an outbreak of foot and mouth disease
• Herdwick lambs are born mostly black and lighten with age

• The original mustangs were Colonial Spanish horses
• The English word mustang comes from the 16th-century Spanish word mestengo, defined as animal that strays
• More than half of all mustangs in North America are found in Nevada

• Commonly use to incubate and raise the offspring of other chickens because of their "loving nature"
