In the US alone, there are 6-8 million animals entering shelters each year. Around half of these animals will never experience the love of a forever home. Animal cruelty can be associated with homeless animals and those in shelters/rescues around the country.

180 puppies were rescued from a Missouri puppy mill, barely alive. They had massive (baseball-like) tumors and hernias. Their teeth all rotten, jaw bones calcium-deficient from breeding so much. Their organs were so deteriorated that they fell apart when the vets were spaying them!
