SQUEALER'S CONTRIBUTION TO ANIMAL FARM

BY: MARC HARDMAN

Squealer represents the propaganda during the Russian Revolution.

Squealer has "a quick mind, nimble tongue, and absolutely no morals whatsoever."
(shmoop editorial team)

Squealer's representation of propaganda is shown when he and the other pigs change the 7 commandments to one, "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others"(Orwell,134)

Squealer helps develop the author's theme of manipulation by manipulating the farm animals to think what the pigs want them to think
