It's basically the story of communism told in the setting of a farm. The animals, led by pigs revolt against the cruel human farm owner, one pig, sort of takes over and tries to turn the farm into a sort of Utopia with guidelines to prevent animals from ever becoming like man, but he's chased out by another pig, who's more Stalin:power hungry and cruel. Said pig begins to manipulate and brainwash the other animals while slowly turning into the same type person that the owner originally was. Then the farm starts a rather unpleasant downfall.
