Flamingos

• They are mostly found in Africa
• They look pink but they are hendo
• They eat flowers and drink water
• When they breed they look funny

Lions

• They are found in Southern Africa
• Males live longer than 10-14 years
• They typically inhabit savanna and grassland, although they may take to bush and forest
• When they are in zoos they like when zookeepers feed them

Dogs

• Dogs love to play outdoors and Jump
• They like their owners because they hug them
• First Nations used dogs to hunt and fish
• Every dog is a man's best friend

Birds

• There are 10000 different species of birds around the world
• Some bird species can make and use their own tools
• Birds have hollow bones which help them fly
• Hummingbirds can fly backwards

Penguins

• Most penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere
• Penguins spend around half their time in the water and the other half on land
• Emperor penguins can spend almost 20 minutes in the water
• Crested penguins have yellow crests, as well as red bills and eyes
