ANNE FRANK

A HOPEFUL, OPTIMISTIC JEWISH GIRL STUCK IN THE TIME OF THE HOLOCAUST.
Anne Frank, 1/4 of the happy Jewish family living in Germany. Soon Hitler was taking over and the family needed to move. They fled to the Netherlands where they would live happily, until 1942.

THE FRANK'S

A KIND, JEWISH FAMILY. ANNE, HER SISTER MARGO AND PARENTS.
Living in Amsterdam, On July 5th, of 1942 the Frank's go into hiding after receiving a letter ordering Anne's older sister Margo to report to a forced labor camp.

THE SELFLESS WOMAN WHO TOOK THE FRANK'S INTO HER HOME TO HIDE.
When the family went into hiding on July 5th, 1942 they had plans with Miep to hide in her attic apartment behind Otto (Mr. frank's) business. She hid them and the Van Pell's until the day they were betrayed and taken to concentration camps.

ANNE'S DIARY

THE BOOK OF THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS ANNE HAD DURING HER TIME IN HIDING
Receiving a diary on her 13th birthday, Anne keeps all of her thoughts and stories in it during her time hiding in the annex. After Otto frank returns from the concentration camps, he has the diary published and Anne's story becomes known worldwide.

ANNE'S ROOM IN THE ANNEX

ANNE SHARED THIS ROOM WITH MR. PFEFFER.
This is where Anne glued her photos to the wall, wrote in her diary and slept. She shared the room with Fritz Pfeffer, whom she disliked.

BETRAYED.

THE FAMILY WAS SEEN IN THE ANNEX AND TAKEN TO CONCENTRATION CAMPS.
On the 4th of August, 1944 the Frank's were arrested and sent to concentration camps, where Anne, her mother and Margot would die from disease and exhaustion.

THE CAMPs

THE ONLY SURVIVER OF THE FRANK FAMILY WAS OTTO FRANK.
While at the camps, Anne grew to appreciate her mother a little more since they were separated from their father. Her mother and Margot were all she had. Eventually Edith, Margo and Anne(15) all died of disease/exhaustion. Otto survived and returned to Amsterdam where he would find Anne's diary and have it published.
