ANNE FRANK

EARLY LIFE

• Anne was born June 12th, 1929
• Born in Frankfurt Germany
• Has a mother and father and a sister
• Until she was 4 she stayed in Frankfurt

EMIGRATING TO THE NETHERLANDS

• The franks moved to Amsterdam to escape nazi threats
• Anne lived a normal life there
• Lived there until 1940
• Otto frank started. New company in Amsterdam

THE NAZIS INVADE

• Germany invades the netherlands
• Germany occupied the netherlands and new Jewish laws were in effect
• Franks still continue their life in Amsterdam despite Jewish persecution laws
• Some laws included the start of David on all Jewish clothing and buildings
• Anne went to a separate Jewish school

INTO HIDING

• Margot frank is called for labor camp
• When anne turns 13 she gets a diary
• The franks go into hiding in a secret annex in Otto frank's work building
• Workers help hide them and soon 4 others join them in hiding

BETRAYED

• August 14th, 1944 the people in the annex are betrayed
• No one knows who betrayed them
• They are sent to the Westbrook transit camp and then off to auschwitz
• All but Otto frank perish in various concentration camps
