ANNE OF THE GREEN GABLES

Hello 6TS I will be doing my presentation on the book green gables.first I will be sharing my quick jot notes on 3 chapter and a tiny summary.

CHAPTER 1

• Matthew discussing about getting a new kid
• Anne of Green gables is named after a girl
• Marilla is Matthew' s wife
• This takes place on prince Edward island
• Prince Edward Island is in eastern part of Canada

CHAPTER 2

• Matthew got a girl instead of a boy child
• The girl was talkative and had a ugly gray dress.
• The girl was a strange girl
• The girl never had more then 1 outfit

CHAPTER 3

• They were on there way home
• Marilla was surprised that they never got a boy
• The girl found out that they never wanted her cause she wasn't a boy
• The girl started crying cause they wanted a boy instead of her

Summary
This story is about a married couple adopting a girl by the name of Anne Shirley.Anne Shirley was a strange little girl that they did not want.They had a conversation in front of her and she finally understood they did not want her.She cried and never ate dinner she pretty much cried herself to sleep every night.They were going to send her back to green gables.

But then Marilla made up her mind one day and decided to keep her.Sooner or later Anne becomes apart of the family.She helps out on the farm.Then one day Matthew died and that was the end.Marilla and Anne still lived their life without Matthew,they were still happy but not as happy as it was with Matthew.

Connection
I'm connecting this story to a text my sister made by the name alone.This connects to Anne of the green gables because a dad in his 70s and his daughter in her late 30 started to build a relationship between each other but sooner or later the dad died right in front of his daughter.

PASSAGE

Morale of the story
The morale of the story is similar to don't judge a book by it's cover,but this one is don't judge a person by their gender.Marilla and Matthew never wanted Anne because of her gender and because she was a girl they thought she was useless.

Why I chose The Book
I chose this book because when I read the back of the book it really caught me and it helps me connect a lot things that are happening to me and what's happening in the world.

How i feel
I feel sad because there is almost every happy ending in a story and in the end of this story a father of a child had died and I thought what if I was in her place.How would I feel?

recamendation
I recommend this book to people ages 11and up or people who like back in the day or like emotional books.
