Reasons why some teens use drugs.

Pressure
Many teens recieve pressure from their friends that ultimately causes them to try the drugs and potentially develop an addiction. But teens can easily prevent this by telling their friends no and not doing things to please them. Simply telling them no and standing by your point should do the trick. If not, you can easily walk away and avoid the situation. This can help to prevent furture problems and ensure a better life for you.

Escape
Many teens also turn to drugs as a means of escape. To escape their problems or other situations they are unhappy with. One can help to prevent turning to drugs by notifying an adult of the things troubling you. This is just a precaution to keep you from causing many problems in the future. One will regret this later in life when numerous problems arise and they can't escape their newfound problems.

Enhanced Physical Performance
Other teens turn to drugs in order to inpove their performace. This is mainly due to sports. They turn to drugs to allow them to perform better in their sport. One can prevent this by notifying an adult about the situation and they should handle it from there. Avoiding drugs will ultimately help the athlete in the future. This is because they may develop an addiction and might be done with sports in a few years due to the effects of the drugs they took.

Experimentation
Other teens turn to drugs due to the fact that they simply want to know what it feels like to consume the drugs. They want to experiment with it to determine if they like it or not. This can ultimately lead to a new addiction which can lead to further problems and potentially death. This will also affect their behavior and relationships around them which is not a good thing either.

To Feel Grown Up
As well as the other reasons, this is also a reason that teens turn to drugs. They feel like drugs can somehow make them feel more grown up and mature. This can induce new problems or long-term affects. Drugs have various complications that simulatneously come with taking them. It affects relationships around you and your general health. This can caused numerous diseases and even death.
