Why Do Teens Do Drugs?

  • Peer Pressure
  • Experimentation
  • To Feel Like A Grown Up
  • Improve Performance
  • Depression/Anxiety

Peer Pressure

  • If you use drugs for peer pressure, you can get an emotional addiction. This means that you use drugs to escape from your personal problems.

Experimentation

  • It’s best to not experiment at all with drugs. If you continue to do so, you can devalue your health. You can end up suffering from health problems.

To Feel Like A Grown Up

  • Drugs can impair your judgment and make you risk decisions. Such as criminal activity and harm to yourself or others.

Improve Performance

  • If you want to improve your performance for a certain person, drugs are not the answer. Drugs can actually cause damage to your relationships. It can cause dependency as well.

Depression/Anxiety

  • If your mental health isn’t in the right state right now, you should avoid drugs. It can make your health worse. It can make your depression/anxiety worse.
