let's get started!

Anti-Drug Use Message

  • drugs are very harmful to anyone who uses them, causing many side affects, and other symptoms that harm the human body, and others around us.
  • teens, for one have been using drugs and are still using drugs all across the world, but that doesn't mean this can change.
  • there is always another option, drugs aren't your only choice!

REASONS WHY TEENS USE DRUGS

  • peer pressure
  • failure at school
  • low-self esteem
  • "feel good"
  • parent and or other family member using drugs
  • continue for why NOT using drugs is the better option for this 5 potential issues

1) peer pressure
peer pressure is real, and really can make a big impact on a kids life. sometimes kids give in, and sometimes kids don't, but peer pressure is always around. this being the case, peer pressure could be used to get one into drugs. however, there are other ways to solve this peer pressure, that doesn't involve getting into the drugs. for example, talking to a counselor, teachers, parents, or guardians is the best way to start. letting them know of your situation can get you into the first steps you need to get out. furthermore, also saying no firmly, confidently, and walking away is the next step if the kids still bother you. it is okay to speak your mind, and decline. if you were to fall into their drugs, your life would be much harder, and make things all messed up for your future.

2) failure at school
we get it. it all happens. you don't pass that exam, or you forget your homework. this doesn't mean you should get into drugs! drugs will not make your mistakes at school any better, if anything, it will make it worse. drugs are the absolute worse thing you could do at this time, or this point in life. instead here is why NOT using drugs is the better option. first off, drugs will for sure make you even more behind then you already are, and absolutely destroy your future. however, if you stayed off the drugs, and instead started to pay attention, (which drugs can make you not do), listen and follow instructions (which drugs can also prevent) then before you know it, you WILL get caught up again, or at least put in enough effort to pass.

3) low self-esteem
it is okay. you are perfect and beautiful just the way you are. you are good enough, you are enough. feeling low about yourself shouldn't take you down a path of drugs. instead, of getting the results you think, your situation will actually become worse. taking drugs will make you worse, and lower your self-esteem like never before. it may make you, "feel better" for a moment of time, but this feeling doesn't last forever. additionally, if you keep taking drugs to make you, "feel better," what you are actually doing to your body will only make you look and feel worse. stop taking drugs. you are already perfect just the way you are. what will it take to make you see that?

4) "feel good"
NO! drugs do not make you, "feel good." this is a common belief for drugs, but you aren't actually any better than you were before. even so, probably worse! you are just drugged, and your mind and brain is wrapped around this fake feeling that you feel good. instead, you are actually destroying your body. not taking drugs is the better option because it gives you time to relax and heal. it gives you time to ponder, about what really makes you happy. instead if taking drugs and ruining your life, not taking drugs gives you a chance to consider your life.

5) parent, family, or guardian influence
for some, we all look up to our parents and family to lead the way. to show us the difference from right and wrong, as well as good and bag habits. however, this is not the reality for everyone. some people may have a parent, family member, or guardian on drugs. since we look up to them, and trust them, we may get this sense that we should do this too. however, this is the incorrect response and i know it may be different, but YOU would need to realize right from wrong. here is a first basic. no drugs = right. drugs = wrong. taking drugs will only influence others to do the same, others who look up to you. plus, when you start drugs, it becomes really hard to stop. drugs aren't always the way, even if someone close to you makes it seem this way.

SAY NO TO DRUGS!! it does not only affect your life, but so does everyone else around you. YOU are what makes your life, and I'm sure you would go down the right path.
