Housing

  • They lived in wickiups, although they also lived in teepees. Some houses were filled up, because sometimes depending on the size of the family, the elderly would have to stay and live with the family. All in one house hold.

Foods

  • They ate many fruits including strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, even though they did not grow the fruit. They are buffalo, deer, elk, turkey, & fox

Clothing

  • Europeans influenced their clothing, but that didn't fully discard their culture mixed in clothing. They kept their loyalty to their ancestors.
  • They would make their clothes out of buffalo during winter and fall, on the other hand they would make some from buck skin during the summer and spring.

Location

  • They first were found living in the Texas Panhandle, however they were moved to reservations all over the country. (Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and much more)
  • They live in a lot of different places now, since the government separated them.

Transportation

  • Their transportation was horses; they also took an occantional walk from place to place.

Everday life

  • The men would train for war, so the women woukd stay home and watch over everything.
  • the kids will help the mither, furthermore they will grow into the role models & leaders of the tibe!

Other Info.

  • They merged with the Mescaleros, also they merged with the Lipan tribe. The kids would play archery games, toe-toss, they also rode horses. They were popular for bascket weaving, till they figured out how to make bed work and became very talented at it.
