Apollo, Greek god of the Sun, was the original overachiever. No wonder he became his
father's favorite son! At the age of 4 days, showing an incredible talent for archery,
Apollo killed the gigantic serpent named Python (some myths she was a dragon) who
had been harassing his mother. He had a twin sister named Artemis. They were
Born to a Titan goddess named Leto.

Being the son of Zeus, the twins were bound to get a present. They both
Were given silver bows. That is why apollo's main symbol is the bow.
