DESCRIPTION

  • Inflammation of the appendix
  • Usually fixed by surgery to remove the appendix

SYMPTOMS

  • Dull pain in abdomi
  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal swelling
  • Fever
  • Inability to pass gas
5.

Treatments

  • Surgical removal of the appendix while inflamed
  • If the appendix bursts inside the body, the abdominal cavity will be filled with infectious materials and can lead to peritonitis
  • peritonitis must be treated with antibiotics
