Streams/Rivers
Animals must be have hooks to cling to rocks,or have streamlined bodies. Plants can only grown on rocks/pebbles on the river bottom. Ex: Trout, Bass, Carp.

Pond/Lakes
Fish that live in pond and lakes feed on organisms towards the surface. Plants float at the surface to photosynthesize. Ex: algae, turtles, snails, frogs

Intertidal Zone
To survive sudden water temperature changes and pounding waves, animals burrow in the sand while other plants and animals cling to rocks. Ex: barnacles, sea stars, clams crabs.

Neritic Zone

Since sunlight passes through the neritic zone, plants can grow because of photosynthesis. Schools of fish feed on algae. Coral reefs form providing homes for other oganisms.

Surface Zone
Algae can grow in the surface zone since sunlight can pass through. Therefore, fish can depend on algae for food. Ex:

Deep Zone
No plants can grow in the deep zone because there is no sunlight. Some animals have glowing body parts to be able to see.
