Streams/rivers
plants adapt to water by attaching to rocks and animals adapt by using hooks or sucker to cling to rocks

Ponds/lakes
animals live on surface of water to eat plants and plants live at bottom to not get eaten

Marine ecosystems

  • Interidal zone
  • Neritic zone
  • Surface zone
  • Deep zone

Interdidal zone
plants get strong roots to stay in ground and not float away and then animals cling to rocks to not float away

Neritic zone
photosynthesis occurs to help make plants live and schools of fish feed on algae
