RELIGION

• In the Arab culture Islamic religion is followed by most
• Most follow the Sunni Islamic branch or Shiites
• The Qur'an is the Holy book
• The dead must be buried
• Believe unsanitary conditions cause disease

• At birth the parents must say a verse from the Qur'an
• When child is born relatives must say "In shalla" to the new born
• Allow all medical treatments

CULTURE

• Not allowed to eat pork
• Not allowed to drink alcohol
• Not strict about organ doners
• Not strict about blood transfusions
• Smoking is permitted
