PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Daily Basis:
An aerospace engineer spends 70% of their career developing plans, assembling parts of rockets, and meeting clients.
there is usually multiple teams on one job.
Results of Career:
By the end of the project there should be a finished product be it a weapon, aircraft, or spacecraft that is expected to function with minimal set backs and meet client demands.
Educational Requirements:
Educational requirements for an aerospace engineer consist of a bachelors degree or higher in engineering and a license earned from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Also a higher knowledge of math, chemistry, and physics.
Appropriate Attire:
There is no single dress code for mechanical engineers. You should dress appropriately for the tasks you have scheduled. Some days you may need to wear overalls and a hard hat; other days you wear a suit to deal with clients.
.
Career Advancements:
New graduates usually work under the supervision of experienced engineers. As aerospace engineers gain experience, they are given more difficult projects and independence to develop their designs. They may move from product manufacturing to project or production engineer positions. As a project engineer, they usually supervise others. The next steps are to managing engineer and then to chief engineer. These positions have more responsibilities and usually include supervision of other engineers.
Employment Outlook:
Employment of aerospace engineers is projected to grow 7 percent from 2012 to 2022, slower than the average for all occupations in the United States.Growth Outlook (projected percentage growth in jobs per year from 2010-2020) 1.7 (moderate growth) in Nevada.
Salaries:
The lowest amount of money that an aerospace engineer can make is 65,450$ per year. The highest amount of money they can make is up to 149,120$ a year.
The reason I am interested in becoming an Aerospace Engineer is that I have always been intrigued on how jets and space craft have worked and how we managed to get something that weighs several tons to fly clear across oceans.
Another cool thing about being an aerospace engineer is that when I'm retired and if I needed a job I could go work for a high end car maker such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
