Arguments vs. Evidence

What makes the best evidence?

• Quality over quantity!
• Use quotes when you can't say it any better yourself.
• Is the evidence sufficient, relevant and accurate?
• Does the evidence support the argument, and can you explain it well?
• Author provides a unique interpretation / perspective that fits your argument

"Ineffective" evidence...

• Opposes the argument
• Is irrelevant or unhelpful
• Is true but not as relevant
• Is superficial and does not add deeper meaning / analysis to your argument
