What is an atom?
An atom is the smallest particle into which an element can be divided and still be the same substance.

  • Aristotle did not believe in the Atomic Theory
  • He believed everything was made of fire, earth, water and air.
  • He did not believe that there was a smaller unit of matter.
  • He was also a Greek philosopher
  • Time Period: 384- 322 BC
