Armadillo Girdled Lizard

How big are they??

They are 3 inches to 3.5 inches
The lizard may be small but they are pretty cute and they can roll up into a ball like an armadillo.

Appearance

  • They can either be a light or dark brown
  • their under belly is yellow
  • Also have a blackish pattern expecially on there chin
The way that their colors are is because it keeps them camouflages them from their predators.

Range (where it lives)

  • They live in the desert
  • Their shell helps them be protected from the rocks

Habitat

They live under rocks in the desert

Diet (What it eats)

Small invertabrates 
The Armadillo girdled Lizard is most commonly fed crickets, but in the wild there prey is termites. They grab their food with their mouth and start chewing it.

Status

The Armadillo Girdled lizard is really rare
