Hi my name is Bob. I'm going to California because it's a healthier place. (Which means more food,richer soil and more). I'm leaving today from Springfield, Illinois to Sutter's fort in California.

I just reached Independence, Missouri. There is a little town where we got got food like johnnycake.

Today I'm leaving Independence, Missouri to go to fort larmie. I'm packed with supplies. I'm sure i can make it.
Today I saw ferry men. I paid 15$ to them to get my wagon across the Kansas river. I made it across with no issues.

Today I reached Fort Larmie. There we got food and water for double the price.

There we celebrated the forth of July. I left the next morning. My next stop will be Fort Bridger.

Today I went hunting. I got some deer and I got 300 pounds of food from it. It was a very successful hunt. But it took one whole day of my journey.

I reached the hard part. The 40 mile desert. I made it. I think I got lucky because I got so thirsty I almost drank salt lake water. But I remembered not to. I passed it thankfully. I have no water left.

I barley have any food. And there is 10 feet deep snow. I build a cabin till the snow melted.

I made it! I made it to California in Sutters fort. I was so thirsty and hungry. But I wasn't anymore. I was so happy that I made it. And it paid of. I have so much food and water.
