PRESENTATION OUTLINE

ARTICLE 1

SECTION 9

SUMMARY

  • People may now immigrate into the States,
  • but a tax, not exceeding $10 will be imposed on them.
  • People accused of crimes may now challenge their
  • imprisonment in court. No unreasonable taxes.
  • No money will be unfairly drawn from treasury.

REASONING

  • These were added originally because the
  • king unfairly trialed people of pretend
  • offenses, unfairly taxed, and refused to pass
  • laws which would allow others to move to
  • the U.S.

AMERICAN VISION

  • It affects the United States today because now
  • people have the right to immigrate into the United
  • States. Also, we still have taxes, which is used to give the gov't
  • money, and can be helpful to our country when we need
  • supplies.
