SECTION 1

  • Establishes supreme court
  • Also Several smaller courts
  • Judges hold office on good behavior
  • Judges will be paid

SECTION 2.1

  • Judicial branch gets to settle disputes
  • Only supreme court deals with-
  • Disputes involving constitution
  • Decide if a law is unconstitutional

Section 2.2
Cases involving public officials and states are sent directly to the Supreme Court. In all other cases, the Supreme Court has appellate jurisdiction.

Section 2.3
All crimes, except impeachment will be tried in the state where the crime was committed. If the crime was not committed in a state, congress will have a designated spot for trial.

Section 3.1
Treason against the United States includes raising war against the country and aiding an enemy. Conviction of treason requires either two witnesses, or a plea in a court.

Section 3.2
Congress gets to determine the punishment for treason. Unless you are convicted, you will have no punishment at all.

Making a sure all people who committed a crime are tried and kept away from the public.

They made sure to set up a judicial system to protect people from false accusation and false imprisonment.
