Personal observations:
- Collate a wide variety of photographs/sketches of objects/places related to your theme and select the best 20 photos/sketches for presentation.
- Use a range of media to produce at least 2 well observed drawings/studies of your top 2 photos
- Explain what you have gained from carrying out the observational work and how it may inspire your final product

Part 1:
- Research 2 relevant artists/designers/illustrators and analyse their work
- Carry out an in-depth analysis of 1 piece of work from each artist and USE SIMILAR materials to recreate each piece
- Explain what you have gained from doing the reproductions
- Analysis should should be insightful not just factual. Show critical and analytical understanding.

Part 2:
- Collect a wide variety of images of inspirational products linked to your design brief to support you in developing your own ideas

- Present alongside your thoughts on how each product is inspirational

TASK 7 - DEVELOPMENT OF IDEAS (3.5 WEEKS)

- Experiment, develop and refine your ideas remembering to link each to the artists you have studied, primary observation photos/sketches and existing products
- Sketch possible ideas for logos, typography, layout and the final product(s)
- Model construction techniques if required

Extension 1:
- Produce a fully coloured final design(s) to clarify what your expected outcome(s) will look like
- Annotate to explain:
1. Why you have chosen your final design
2, How it meets your brief
3. Materials
4. Construction methods
5. How it/they link to your primary and secondary research

Extension 2:
Produce a 10 (each 30 mins) part plan which offers timings for each of the major manufacturing steps within the 5 hour exam
