I decided to do my project on Asian Elephants because, I wanted to learn more about this type of elephant. But most of all elephants are my favorite type of animal and I wanted to learn more about these big, but small, elephants.

Asian Elephants are smaller than their African cousins. These elephants could be identified by their smaller, round ears. Females are 224 cm tall and males 329 cm tall.

Asian elephants are also the victims of poaching for ivory, meat and leather. Many elephants are killed when they come into contact with local human populations.
