A facilitator is helpful in keeping everyone on task and focused on the student
After a parent files a complaint and before the due process hearing, a mediation hearing can take place.
Mediation is a voluntary way to settle disputes between parents and the agency.
Purpose is to discuss with parents to discuss the facts that caused the due process request.
The resolution meeting must be held by law unless the parents agree in writing not to hold the meeting
